Oliver Lake inlet ditch
The Oliver Lake inlet ditch just South of the Krouse property on 150 E (also sometimes referred to as the Bert-Hart ditch) has had its banks restored, straightened somewhat, and stabilized with forty-one tons of glacial stone. The bordering soils have been leveled out and re-seeded with prairie grasses. Ideally, EVERY ditch that empties surface water into our lakes would look something like this one!
KUDOS to the Krouse family for undertaking this initiative to help reduce soil erosion and sediment inflow to our beautiful lakes. If you see Steve or Margaret in the neighborhood, be sure to thank them!
